![]() Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter, an IHG Hotel Features.Hotels near Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter, an IHG Hotel.Once again, love this place and would stay here again. All hotels in gas lamp district has high parking rates. Yes, parking is pricey, there is a public parking structure across from the Omni Hotel which is less. Be sure to research where you want to eat because there are so many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is well located so no need to use your car once you park it (valet parking is $41 per night). Dogs are welcomed at this hotel, and this visit there were a lot of them, big ones. The menu is extensive if you want to have a full meal. There is a full bar with high tables too and happy hour is from 5-7. The rooftop has nice lounge furniture with several fire and ice fires going. We went to the rooftop bar which has a view of Petco Park - Dodgers vs Padres were playing, so that was neat to see. Love the bedding and the dark panel floors. Both times our room was large, and best of all the bathroom is large. I highly recommend this hotel and we will return again soon.Ĭame here overnight with my family and we all love this place. Not that we are always looking for a pool since we usually don't spend much time at a hotel if we're in downtown San Diego but on occasion we do like a hotel with a pool. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is there is no pool. All in all we were very impressed with this hotel and their staff was very accommodating and friendly. You may also bring your dog up to the roof top bar instead of leaving him or her in the room while you enjoy a drink around a fire pit. The hotel is dog friendly and with no charge to bring your pet. ![]() The room was decorated nicely with wood floors, nice linens and very nice shower. The hotel is very centrally located with views of the city lights and Petco Park. We were given a complimentary round of drinks while we waited. We decided to wait for the corner view room and was not disappointed. We called for early check in however upon arriving was told the room we had requested (a corner view room) was not yet available however if we wanted a different room one was available. We were looking for a hotel in the gas lamp district so we could walk to all the local entertainment which that area offers. We would stay here again!!Ĭame across this jewel while searching for a hotel that's part of the IHG hotel group. Anyway, we ate dessert at the hotel restaurant which was quite good. I got to see an exciting 9th Inning with the Padres down by 1 with bases loaded, but sadly they didn't win. My wife turned on the game on TV, but it was at least 1 minute behind the real action. I got my binoculars out and I could see home plate. It was opening day with the Padres playing the Dodgers. Then I opened the curtains, and I could easily see Petco Park. The bathroom, with its shower and tub was about the size of our stateroom. Granted after being in a Ship's stateroom for 2 weeks and room would seem big, but this two room suite was huge. We went up to the room and our jaws dropped. The hotel called us around 2pm that our room was ready. So we dropped off our bags and took a short walk to the San Diego Trolley to get around. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived due to it was only 10am. But they still upgraded us to a suite due to my Platinum status. We spent the night here after our Panama Canal cruise before heading home. Definitely a hotel that I would return to. ![]() The staff in the hotel were really friendly and helpful with any queries. Its situated in Gaslamp quarter so there's loads of entertainment options, and its right beside San Diego Padres baseball ground. It was the first time I visited San Diego and this was an ideal base. I also used the fitness suite on a few occasions and the facilities in it were adequate. I ate once in the hotel and the food was excellent. There was double bed, separate bathroom, walk in wardrobe and also a huge armchair. Also must say that the reception area was spotless, a feature that carried on throughout the hotel. The bar area is to the right hand side of the lobby and it is very bright and spacious. Lobby is bright and spacious and check in was very simple, with receptionist very friendly. Stayed in this hotel from Monday to Saturday.
